A book of sailing ship models. By Frank C. Bowen. Published 1927. Over 100 pages with many illustrations of museum models, some of which are in colour. Acceptable condition but dust jacket is torn.

By Halton Stirling Lecky. Published 1913.
A history, in alphabetical order, of ships that served in the Royal Navy. This includes ships of the same name, e.g. Aboukir - there were four ships of this name - and each is described. Unfortunately, the author died after the third volume which ends with the ship "Jupiter".
The books (very rare) are leather bound with gold embossing.
In very good condition but slight fraying on spine.

By Lt. Col. C. Field. Published 1924. Over 300 pages of history of the Royal Marines, including colour illustrations of their uniform detail. Leather and linen binding, embossed in gold.
Extremely rare. Very good condition but pages slightly foxed.

OLD SHIP PRINTS - £20.00
By E. Keble Chatterton. Published 1965 by Spring Books (first published 1927). Traces the history of the sailing ship in art, from the earliest rough wood-cuts dating from the 15th century down to the delicate lithographs of the late Victorian age. Good condition but dust jacket is worn.

Published in Amsterdam in 1928. Includes b&w illustrations and scale plans of the models held in the Dutch Maritime Museum. The text is in Dutch. However, there is a separate catalogue listing in English.
Linen cover with gold embossing. Extremely rare. Very good condition.

Printed 1902. Over 300 pages of British achievements during the wars 1793-1815. Written in Victorian times with jingoistic fervour. Good condition.

Published by the Naval Records Society 1899 and 1900. Giving a comprehensive account of the naval actions 1794-1805. Linen cover, gold embossed. Good condition but spine of Volume 2 slightly damaged.

English Edition 1978. By Harald Fock. Over 300 pages of photographs, scale plans and textual information on gun and torpedo boats. Excellent condition.

BRITISH BATTLESHIPS - £150.00
1990 reprint of the 1966 first edition by Oscar Parkes. With nearly 700 pages of photographs, plans and detailed information. This really is the bible of battleships. The book is in excellent condition but there is slight water staining on two of the lead pages before the text begins.

ALBUM DE COLBERT - £120.00
Printed 1988. A folio of 50 plates devoted to the building of a ship of the first rate of the 17th century, dating from 1677. In French with English translation. Linen hardback slip-case with gold embossing.

DANSKE ORLOGSSKIBE 1690-1860 (2 Volumes) - £120.00 SOLD
Danish ships from 1690-1860. Volume I has large scale plans, some in colour. Volume II has illustrated descriptions of the vessels and their makers. In Danish with a summary in English at the back. The books are 420mm x 300mm, in blue linen with gold embossing and with its own protective box cover. Pristine condition.
