JANE'S FIGHTING AIRCRAFT OF WW1 -  15.00 - SOLD
A 1990 reprint of the 1919 edition with over 1000 illustrations, many accompanied by plans and all furnished with comprehensive specifications of the various aircraft that served during WWI.

THE BEST OF WIND-SOCK VOLUME II -  7.50
A very well regarded magazine, this copy having plans and photographs of the following machines: Pfalz E1 and E2, Pfalz D.X11 fighter, the AD scout, the BE2 and DH5 plus the Halberstadt C1.1V and the Anatra DS.
This magazine is in pristine condition.

Published in 1974 by Ward Lock Ltd, the volume covers all the aircraft of the war with 140 b&w illustrations and informative text. In first class condition.

WORLD AIRCRAFT, ORIGINS: WW1 - 10.50
A 1977 edition published by Book Club Assoc. of the 1975 book by Enzo Angelucci and Paolo Matricardi. The book has over 300 pages of colour illustrations and aircraft specifications covering all the major combat aircraft used during the conflict 1914-1918. In very good condition with a slight tear on the dust jacket.

By Alan Clark. , 1974 reprint (first published 1973). Paperback with over 180 pages in ten chapters full of photographs and anecdotes of men and machines who fought over the battlefields of the great war. In good condition.

THE FIGHTERS - 10.00
Printed in 1966. Written by Thomas Funderburk. 190 pages covering most of the major combat aircraft and their pilots with interesting anecdotes, photographs and line drawn illustrations of their machines. This book is ex libris in good condition, although the cover is worn.

BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER - 17.50  SOLD
A Conway publication written in 1989 by R,D. Layman. 120 pages - very well illustrated and written account of the early days of marine aviation. There are many rare photographs of some of the bizarre ways various navies attempted to deploy naval airpower.

WARBIRDS Military Aircraft of the First World War in Colour - 20.00 - SOLD
An English language edition published by Purnell Book Services Ltd in 1974 of the Italian publication of 1973. The book has over 450 illustrations (323 in full colour) with accompanying text. In first class condition.

KNIGHTS OF THE AIR - 8.50
A Time Life publication compiled in 1980, well illustrated both in b&w and colour, showing both the aircraft and flyers of the conflict. In addition, there are pictures and text covering the home front and some reproductions of pictures of the air war over the desert. Hardcover, in first class condition.

AIRCRAFT AND FLYERS OF THE 1st WORLD WAR - 10.00
Originally titled 'Heroes and Aeroplanes of the Great War 1914-1918' by J.A. Phelan. The book has 125 pages of very fine line drawings of WW1 aircraft with accompanying text. In first class condition.

ARMAMENT OF BRITISH AIRCRAFT 1909-1939 - 17.50
Written by H.F. King and published by Putman Aeronautical Books in 1971. The book covers all the sometimes exotic methods of fitting weapons on to aircraft during the formative years of air combat. The volume is in pristine condition.

GERMAN AIRCRAFT OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR - 55.00
A seminal work by Peter Gray and Owen Thetford. With 600 pages of photographs, scale plans and informative text, this book is a must for those with a serious interest in the aircraft used over land and sea by Germany in WW1. First published in 1962, this 1992 reprint is in excellent condition.

THE AEROPLANES OF THE RFC - 40.00  SOLD
Written by J.M. Bruce, this is a 1992 reprint of the 1962 work. Over 600 pages of text, photographs and scale plans - a comprehensive account of all the RFC's planes used during WW1. In first class condition.

1988 reprint by Guild Publishing, London. Beautifully illustrated with plans, photographs and colour drawings of all the world's aircraft from the 1st World War to the 1980's. It covers 1,706 aeroplanes, shown in colour, 16 colour charts, 253 photographs and 772 scale profiles plus 7 cut-away diagrams. In good condition but dust jacket slightly torn.
